Air Decompression Chamber Shell with Chamber Control Panel (TPl)

J. K. Subsea Engineering Pvt. Ltd. builds the Air Decompression Chamber Shell with Chamber Control Panel, Model No. JK-ADC-CCP, as a standalone decompression chamber meant to be saddle mounted directly onto a deck or fitted inside an existing enclosed room, rather than shipped inside a container. lt carries the same 60 inch twin lock chamber and control panel used across our decompression range, built to ASME, IMCA, PVHO and divine standards and rPt approved with a DNV stamped nameplate, giving operators with available deck space or an existing dive support room a lighter installation option than a full container build.

What is an Air Decompression Chamber Shell with Chamber Control Panel?

This is the same 60 inch twin lock decompression chamber found in our containerized systems, supplied on its own without a surrounding container. lt suits operators who already have deck space or a dedicated enclosed room and would rather mount the chamber directly than pay for housing they don’t need. The shell sits on a saddle mount base bolted to the deck or floor, with a NATO type mating front manway for compatibility with existing transfer equipment, and three viewports for direct visibility into the chamber. The shell is built in accordance with ASME PVHO, IMCA and Diving standards and accompained by DNV TPI approved drawings carries a DNV stamped nameplate once independent inspection is complete.

Key Features of the Air Decompression Chamber Shell

  • lndependently lnspected Shell: A 60 inch twin lock chamber fabricared to ASME Sec Vlll Div. I and PVHO-I (2O22), verified against DNV TPI approved drawings and closed out with a DNV stamped nameplate.
  • Built Around IMCA Guidelines: Follows IMCA DO]E for plant testing and IMCA DO23 for surface oriented air diving design, the same guidelines applied across our chamber range.
  • NATO Standard Manway: A mating front manway that lines up with transfer or docking hardware already in service, so fleets can keep equipment interchangeable.
  • Three Fitted Viewports: Lets the deck crew see straight into the chamber, on top of whatever the camera feed shows.
  • Panel Fixed at Eye Level: The control panel sits on the shell where the operator stands, putting entry, main, and therapeutic gauge plus the oxygen, CO2, and environmental analysers within easy reach.
  • Continuous Environmental Readout: Temperature and humidity are tracked in real time, and a DVR keeps a running record of chamber conditions.
  • 8 Hours of Backup Power: lf mains power goes down, the panel keeps working on battery, so nobody loses monitoring or communication mid operation.
  • Emergency Breathing Set on Hand: A supervisor BA set stays at the panel for use if something goes wrong.
  • Everyrthing Fitted Before lt Ships: Scrubber, light, camera, BIBS, extinguisher,
mattresses, speaker, caisson gauge, and hygrometer, all installed and ready, not sold separately.

Applications of Containerized ADC with Diving Air Panel

Our twin-lock decompression chamber supports critical diving safety and treatment operations across commercial and offshore environments.

Ships and Barges With Open Deck Space: No need to build or ship a container when the vessel already has room to mount the chamber directly.

Shore Based Dive Training and Support Sites: Drops into an existing indoor space at a training centre or fixed facility.

Platforms Wanting a Permanent Fixture: Bolts straight onto a platform deck for long term use rather than a removable unit.

Fleets Running Compatible Transfer Gear: The NATO manway keeps this chamber usable alongside other units built to the same standard.

Sites Upgrading an Old Chamber: Swap the chamber and panel while leaving the surrounding structure or room untouched.

What's Inside the Chamber

  • CO2 Scrubber (JK-CO2S-ALPHA): A fan pulls CO2 through a soda lime bed, keeping the air inside breathable for around 4 hours.
  • Hyperbaric Light (JK-HYL-300M): Sits in both locks so the interior stays lit through the entire pressurisation cycle.
  • Hyperbaric Camera (JK-HYC-300M): Positioned in both locks, sending video straight to the control panel screen.
  • Talk Back Operator (JK-TBS): A speaker in the main lock so the occupant can hear the operator without a handset.
  • Caisson Gauge (6″ dial, 0-7 MSW): Reads out the internal depth or pressure at a glance.
  • Built In Breathing System, BIBS (Amron 350M): Routes oxygen from the supply line directly to whoever is inside the chamber.
  • Hyperbaric Fire Extinguisher (JK-HYF-6.7L): Built specifically to work under the pressure conditions inside the chamber.
  • Fire Retardant Mattresses: Cover the bunks in both locks to cut down fire risk.
  • Hygrometer with Thermometer: Keeps a constant reading of humidity and temperature inside the chamber.

Certifications & Standards for the Air Decompression Chamber Shell Manufacturer

Fabrication follows ASME Section VIII Division 1 and ASME PVHO-1 (2022), checked against DNV TPI approved drawings, with a DNV stamped nameplate applied once an independent inspector signs off on the build. On the design side, the chamber and panel follow IMCA D018 for how diving plant should be examined and tested, and IMCA D023 for how a surface oriented air diving system should be laid out.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Air Decompression Chamber Shell with Control Panel

What is the difference between this chamber and a containerized ADC?
This one is just the chamber shell and control panel, meant to sit on a deck or inside a room you already have, rather than arriving packaged inside its own container.
What does saddle mount actually mean here?
The chamber has its own base with feet that bolt straight down to whatever surface it's sitting on, no container frame involved.
What does saddle mount actually mean here?
The chamber has its own base with feet that bolt straight down to whatever surface it's sitting on, no container frame involved.
What is a NATO type front manway good for?
It lets this chamber connect to transfer or docking gear built to the same standard, so it plays nicely with equipment you might already run.
How many people fit inside?
Two in the entry lock, four in the main lock, six total between them.
Has this shell actually been inspected by someone outside J. K. Subsea?
Yes. It's built to DNV TPI approved drawings and gets a DNV stamped nameplate once that inspection is signed off.
What's already installed when this arrives?
The CO2 scrubber, lights and cameras in both locks, the built in breathing system, a pressure rated fire extinguisher, fire retardant mattresses, a talk back speaker, a caisson gauge, and a hygrometer with thermometer.
