Cylinder Quad

K. Subsea Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is a cylinder quad manufacturer and supplier for the diving, offshore and marine industry. Our Cylinder Quad, also called a gas bank, holds 50 litre cylinders with a 204 kgf/cm² working pressure in one epoxy painted, fire proof frame with a DNV lifting pad eye. It is available in 8 sizes, from 4 to 64 cylinders (JK04CQ to JK64CQ), and in Air, Nitrogen and Oxygen versions.

Every quad has 2 charging points, so you can fill it from 2 compressors at the same time, and a purpose-built control panel to manage the gas. The design follows IMCA D018 and IMCA D023, and each quad ships with hydrotest, gas leak test, load test and MPI test certificates.

What is the Cylinder Quad?

A cylinder quad stores gas in many cylinders that are linked together in one frame. You lift it, move it and connect it as a single unit. People in the industry also call it a gas bank.

The J. K. Subsea Cylinder Quad is built for oxygen, breathing air, helium, nitrogen and hydrogen. This page covers the Air, Nitrogen and Oxygen versions. The 50 litre cylinders sit in a frame made from MS box pipe or C section, joined by a cylinder valve system, high pressure tubing and a brass manifold.

The cylinders are split into 4 equal groups. Check valves and crossover management control the flow between them. A purpose-built panel gives simple control of the whole quad, and the DNV lifting pad eye lets you handle the full frame by crane.

Cylinder Quad Types: Air, Nitrogen and Oxygen

All three versions share the same frame, cylinders, plumbing and panel. The difference is the gas each one is built to hold.

Cylinder Quad Air :-The Cylinder Quad for Air stores breathing air for diving spreads, diver air panels and surface supplied diving. It suits users who need a large air supply that lifts on and off a vessel and connects to a panel or a scuba replacement package.

Cylinder Quad Oxygen :- The Cylinder Quad for Oxygen stores breathing oxygen for chamber and diving use. The quad in the data sheet photo carries a “Breathing Oxygen” label on the frame.

Cylinder Quad Nitrogen :-The Cylinder Quad for Nitrogen stores nitrogen at high pressure in the same quad frame, with the same 4 group plumbing and 2 charging points. Contact us with your use so we can match the fittings and labels.

Applications of the Cylinder Quad

Diving Spreads: A central gas store that feeds your diver air panel or dive control system.

Oxygen Storage for Chambers: Holds breathing oxygen for decompression and treatment use.

Scuba Replacement Packages: Stores bulk air that supports an SRP.

Offshore and Onshore Gas Storage: A single frame for projects that need many cylinders in one place.

Dive Support Vessels: A lift-ready gas bank that moves on and off deck with the crane.

Air Supply for Surface Supplied Diving: Feeds divers through an air panel at the surface.

Nitrogen Storage: High pressure nitrogen held in the same quad frame.

Technical Specifications of the Cylinder Quad

Cylinder Quad Models

Model Cylinders Total Water Capacity
JK04CQ 4 200 litres
JK06CQ 6 300 litres
JK08CQ 8 400 litres
JK16CQ 16 800 litres
JK32CQ 32 1,600 litres
JK48CQ 48 2,400 litres
JK56CQ 56 2,800 litres
JK64CQ 64 3,200 litres

Total water capacity is calculated by multiplying the cylinder count by 50 litres. It represents the cylinders’ water capacity, not the volume of gas stored.
