A twin basket launch and recovery system, or twin basket LARS, is deck-mounted diving equipment built around two dive baskets on a shared A-frame, typically a primary basket for the working diver and a secondary basket kept ready for a standby diver. This gives dive teams a compact operating footprint on deck while still meeting standby diver requirements common in commercial diving operations, without needing two separate LARS units. It gives divers a safe, controlled way to enter and exit the water, even in challenging sea conditions, while keeping mobilization and demobilization straightforward.
